THE HOPE CHEST for WOMEN

The Hope Chest for Women is a non-profit organization committed to providing Western North Carolina women with cancer educational resources and limited financial assistance to women with breast or gynecologic cancer.

The Hope Chest grew out of a vision of the physicians and staff of Hope-A Women’s Cancer Center.  The Hope Center’s doctors and staff believe in treating cancer by caring for and supporting individuals physically, emotionally, and socially during their cancer treatment.

You may be eligible for financial assistance through the Hope Chest, if you:

• Are a woman who is receiving treatment for breast, cervical, endometrial, ovarian, uterine, vaginal, or vulvar cancer
• Reside in Western North Carolina
• Are uninsured, underinsured, or need financial assistance

To have money available to assist with the financial burden of applicants, the Hope Chest for Women relies on individual contributions, sponsorship of fundraisers, and in-kind donations. Other Hope Chest outreaches include Hands of Faith and Honduras Hope.  Hands of Faith is a Christian based program that arranges training within churches, schools, and community organizations to minister to the needs of people with cancer and their families.  Call (828) 670-8403 x356 for additional information.
